Rosemarie Lindt

ROSEMARIE LINDT studied at Folkwang University of the Arts, the esteemed academy of dance and art in Germany, as the only recipient of a scholarship under the Director Kurt Jooss. In Paris, she studied at the Waker Studio under the direction of Madame Nora Kiss.  Rosemarie Lindt performed as a Prima Ballerina at these companies:

She was honored to perform in the presence of the Pope John Paul II three times with an audience of over a thousand people in the Auala Poalo VI in Vatican City. For these three performances, she created her own works.

In New York, at Carnegie Hall, Rosemarie Lindt with her late husband, Alfred Piccolo, started her own company, the Lindt Ballet Theater, with all of her original ballets. These include: The Ghosts of Music Hall, That Verona Affair, The Cavalier of Venice Casanova, The Last Days of Pompeii, The Roman Carousel. These works were choreographed by Rosemarie Lindt and written and directed by the late Alfred Piccolo.

Ms. Lindt has taught at Hunter College and is fluent in four languages: German, French, Italian, and English.
